Farming and Ranching
While Washington politicians continue to focus on their own special interests, many have been left behind. I’ll be a Representative who addresses the needs of farmers and ranchers in our evolving agricultural industry.
I support expanding Guest Worker visas to get farmers the help they need to produce our food and flowers. I’ll also work to reduce harmful regulations, including lifting Federal anti-cannabis policy to allow cultivation aimed towards revitalizing local farms. Mountain lion overpopulation, which puts many people and livestock in danger in our District, will also be addressed by introducing a solution allowing ranchers to defend their animals and our communities by proactively culling harmful population growth on their property.
I will support funding for research grants to design machines to automate various crop harvesting activities which have historically been done by human hands.
